What is this about?

Get out the sunscreen and let's meet new people!

It's the end of the school year and it's time to relax; you've earned it! A picnic brings togetherness and memories. Time to hang out, mingle, have fun and hopefully create some lasting memories.

17 of June, starting at 12 noon until...

The Plan?

The plan is quite simple - show up, mix up some teams to play some beach volleyball and get the ball rolling. From there, head over to the picnic tables and quench our thirst and hunger.

For those not interesting in playing, there is a nice long pathway (or passadiço) that you can walk along and take nice pictures.

The location is set on the riverbank next to the Freixo marinha as seen in the photos below.

Get out for a fun day

Don't get stuck in your comfort or shy zone! Time to get out, get some sun, and have some fun! Don't overthink it!

  • Can I bring some friends

    The answer is yes, up to 1-2 guests seems reasonable. And it's fair to ask each friend brings some type of "Multa". 

  • Are there restrooms?

    Yes, right there are public restrooms and a café.

  • What should I wear?

    Sunscreen, definately. If you plan on playing beach volleyball, then you should bring some sports attire. And don't forget, there is the river beach, so you can bring your swimsuit. 

  • How will I get there?

    Probably be easiest and cheaper to grab a Uber with your housemates. 

  • Do I need to bring anything?

    Nothing, just your will to have some fun and your appetite.

  • Would you like some help?

    Definately! If you have some time and ideas to help with this, just say so :)

Baseball Tryouts


There will also be baseball "tryouts". No, not tryouts for any team :)), but yeah, trying out the game itself like swinging a bat or playing catch with a real baseball. It'll be something new to try...

The Last Party

It was a fun day hanging out with other residents, that included a BBQ, drinking games, and ended with a lightning storm. The party was held in the terrace of Tanger Home, allowing us to have a good time after many months of Covid confinements and restrictions.

Location is next to the Freixo Marinha and Pestana Douro Riverside Hotel.
